Spiral Scout, a 12-year-old, global software development company, based in San Francisco, with remote employees all over the globe, is looking to hire a full-time Sales professional to help in the areas of hunting new leads, closing inbound leads, proposal creations and contract negotiations.
The ideal candidate will be a sales hunter, motivated and organized enough to plan your activities and hit your goals without much micro-management. You will be assisted by the company's CEO, CTO and a full team of pre-sales support. Your main focus is to sell the full line of Spiral Scouts’ services to US based medium to large-sized businesses that need outsourced design or software development help.
This role requires significant interaction with clients and our senior management, which may be face-to-face or over Zoom. The various tasks carried out by this professional would include but are not limited to:
- Understanding a customers' diverse, specific business needs/goals and applying product knowledge and appropriate messaging to meet those needs;
- Identifying and developing new business through networking, cold calling/emailing, using SDRs, various marketing efforts and then via following-up with calls/emails/in-office visits;
- Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations around our capabilities;
- Run the entire sales cycle while bringing in additional necessary resources from the management and technical services teams;
- Working with our design and marketing teams to create sales collateral for Spiral Scout’s portfolio of products and services;
- Negotiating contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs;
- Developing effective sales plans using sales methodology;
- Setting and meeting sales targets;
- Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other events;
- Responding to RFP documents, inbound sales leads, writing sales proposals, and following up.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years working at a digital or software development agency selling outsourced services and custom software solutions to mid-market clients or enterprise-level clients;
- Proven ability to set and exceed sales quotas;
- Ability to build an SDR team to help you find new leads;
- Demonstrated ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment to accurately manage and forecast sales activity;
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, time management skills and an unwavering commitment to integrity and professionalism;
- Ensure quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employers' systems and processes;
- Self-starter and strong closer with multitasking ability;
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills;
- Some travel and a willingness to work a flexible schedule are required;
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
A bonus would be someone who has a book of existing software development business or potential leads from day 1.
